The Children's Ministry at Allen Heights Baptist Church

The mission of the Children’s Ministry at Allen Heights Baptist Church is to minister to children and parents. It is our desire to create an environment in which children can grow spiritually, physically, and emotionally and can learn to love the Lord as we do. We want each child to come to know the Lord in a personal way and to accept His salvation.

Sunday Schedule

Worship KidStyle 9:30 a.m.

Join us each week for an exciting time of studying God’s word with friends and teachers who care for you and your growth in the Lord. We try to teach Bible truths through games and activities as well as through Bible stories. We want children to know that we care about them and that God cares for them.

Wednesday Schedule

AWANA 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

What is AWANA?
AWANAs is a nondenominational ministry that utilizes games, achievement, teamwork, stories, and Scripture memorization to teach children and teenagers the gospel of Jesus Christ and train them to follow Christ in their daily lives and to serve Him. The Awana program offered at Allen Heights currently ministers to 3 year old through 6th grade with three clubs:

• Sparks
• T&T

What does the acronym AWANA mean?
The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.
“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Special Events

Fall Festival
This is a fun alternative to Trick or Treating. We provide all kinds of games and fun things to do as well as prizes and candy in a warm and safe environment.

Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt
We have a picnic lunch, crafts, an Easter egg hunt and a balloon lift to symbolize the resurrection of Jesus.

Vacation Bible School
Allen Heights provides a week of bible learning, crafts, games and snacks to children 1-6 grade each summer. The evening hours (6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) make it a unique opportunity for busy parents.
